I'm Zee Marquez, a mechanical engineer who has worked in renewable energy
(wind and solar PV) since 2023. I'm now completing the ISBIF Master's in Project Finance (Dec 2026).
My work has followed energy assets from structural design and cost optimization, through technical
due diligence, to asset operation. At GRI I optimized the material cost of wind towers. At STOWAI I
build financial models of utility-scale solar PV plants, lead technical due diligence, and optimize
O&M cost across operating portfolios. That path gives me the technical judgement to test the
assumptions behind a financial model: capital cost, production, and operating cost.
I'm looking to bring that judgement to a Project Finance role in energy and infrastructure.
Experience
STOWAI · Madrid · Jan 2024 – Present Project Manager, Technical & Financial Analysis
- Built financial models of utility-scale solar PV plants covering capital expenditure (CAPEX), operations and maintenance (O&M) cost, production, and revenue, to test viability and support investment decisions.
- Ran CAPEX, O&M, and P50/P90 production sensitivities to identify the main drivers of project returns and size downside cases.
- Modelled electricity prices, weather variables, and structural failure probability with statistical and machine-learning methods, converting them into revenue, O&M, and replacement CAPEX assumptions.
- Optimized O&M cost across operating PV portfolios, raising availability and asset life: the operating inputs behind cash flows and debt service coverage (DSCR).
- Led technical due diligence on solar PV plants and tracker structures, reporting findings to clients and informing CAPEX and material-efficiency decisions.
- Developed commercial partnerships with leading Spanish solar companies.
